the 'Otaio'


MV Otaio from 1958, a refrigerated cargo vessel of 13,314 grt, in her New Zealand Shipping Company colours. This was the last ship to train cadets for the Merchant Navy in New Zealand, until 1975.  (Wallace Trickett painting)

loved that ship. Great gang below, and on deck and the competitions on deck were always good fun with the cadets
